Our People


We have witnessed the changes which have shaped Macau in the past two decades. During this time, the business environment has grown more sophisticated and diverse. Jorge Soares

Founder of Translateam, settled in Macau, China in 1989. Seeing the need for a professional translation service in Macau, he began providing translations on a freelance basis to a variety of law offices, government departments and other institutions.

Miranda Gao

Miranda is a freelance writer and translator with excellent English and Chinese capabilities. She is a native Chinese speaker and has academic background and work experience in hospitality and hotel management. She is an important part of our team.

Donna Soares

Donna is a native English speaker, with an extensive background in language teaching, and is the co-founder of Translateam

Cristiana Soares

Cristiana has graduated from the bachelor’s degree in Portuguese language from the University of Macau. She is fluent in English, Chinese and Portuguese and has worked in events, music and as a freelance translator.
